The Finishing Touch Auto Body and Refinishing Center, LLC was started in 1987 by Rick LaFountain. Rick is a life-long resident of the area, graduating from Plainwell High School in 1975. Rick married Sandi Grimm in 1975. They have two sons, Jereme and Derick who both graduated from Otsego High School. Rick has over 51 years experience in vehicle restoration, body work and mechanical repair. He started doing body/refinishing work in 1972, working locally at Twin Ford Body Shop, Harold Zeigler (Plainwell) body shop, and managing Rex Hays Chevy Body Shop. He decided to open his own shop in December of 1987. Rick and his staff know how important your vehicle is to you. Quality service and repairs with quality materials at an affordable, warranted price is the number one priority. The Finishing Touch is not located in the high rent commercial district, but in a country location allowing additional savings that can be passed on to customers. At The Finishing Touch, all staff members are up to date with the latest in industry education and training. All Technicians are qualified and certified in their areas of expertise. Many services are available from providing expert color matches, restoring classic cars, rust repairs, collision damage repair, custom and mechanical repairs. Services are not limited to vehicles only.
